Ha,you are also missing the ending to:不雷，不雷，一點兒都不雷我不是教你炸 and...mwhahahaanyways, Daniel Boulud opened a new place (DBGB)... will try it out later in the yr when they have worked their kinks out.Cheers,W
Hi Starberry，Ha Ha...I missed too much that I will probably just give up though.Just came back from Chicago and had meals at Charlie Trotter's, which was even better than I had expected!Btw, there's a new NYT four start restaurant inaugurated in NYC, Eleven Madison Park by Daniel Humm and Danny Mayers. Now this is the fine dining place I would like to try before anything else in NYC now.
Heh, but I want to know the ending!!!!Can't wait to read your review of Trotter's.Btw, there's a new NYT four start restaurant inaugurated in NYC, Eleven Madison Park by Daniel Humm and Danny Mayers. Now this is the fine dining place I would like to try before anything else in NYC now.The two best "behind the scenes" Bourdain books are:http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rlz=1B3GGGL_enUS308US308&q=amazon+kitchen+confidential&aq=f&oq=&aqi=g1andhttp://www.amazon.com/Nasty-Bits-Collected-Varietal-Usable/dp/1596913606The other books are a bit of a money grab and I would generally avoid them. 11 Madison Park... that's the one in Brooklyn. I will check it out next time I am there. So anyways, my mom is in town in Sept so it kind of gave me an excuse to return to Daniel for dinner. (mwhahahaha)I actually got a reservation for Per Se but canceled. In the end I couldn't justify the incremental cost vs. incremental benefit. (The extra $ saved..I can use it to take her somewhere else) *sigh...Feels a little guilty enjoying fancy food while there are people in need of aid. Kind of made a rule for my self that until the end of September, for every $1 I spend on fancy food, I will donate an equal amount. = OTake care,Wilson
